I have worked with David Bliss many times when approaching an important presentation or speech. A couple of hours with David is the difference between merely transmitting and really nailing a message, making an impact and engaging your audience. We have worked with David both at a group level and as individuals. To speak of my 1-on-1 experience; As an MD, I am expected to exude a certain degree of confidence and communicate well. What I was able to do with David, or rather he posed the right questions to reach, was to speak honestly about those situations where I struggle, the potential causes for that and the tools to manage things appropriately. David was critical to making the two TEDxWhitehall events punch far above their weight. For both events he dedicated a large amount of his time, without charge, to helping our speakers reach their potential. He patiently built their confidence, gave them wise advice on what does and doesn’t work with an audience, and guided them towards performances that were of high standard yet remained authentic and individual. That set them up with skills for life, not just for one event.
As part of our preparation for a series of conferences Brunel Harper provided presentation training and coaching for a number of our staff – both individually and as a group. As a result of their support and tailored approach, each individual’s communication and presentation skills improved and they each developed a more confident and assured presentation style.
